The Maternal Fetal Center provides services as noted below:
- Obstetrical ultrasound and Doppler
- Level 2 / targeted ultrasound
- Fetal echocardiography (fetal heart studies) and Doppler
- Transvaginal scan
- Biophysical profile
- Amniocentesis
- Consultations and management for maternal medical
complications such as diabetes, hypertension, anemia – acquired or inherited, connective tissue diseases as well as maternal inherited diseases.
- Consultation, evaluation and management of high risk obstetrical conditions – multiple gestation (twins, triplets), abnormal placentation (placenta previa, accreta), preterm labor, recurrent pregnancy loss, fetal growth abnormalities.
- Prenatal diagnosis and genetic consultation for congenital malformations, Down syndrome and hereditary conditions (e.g. cystic fibrosis, sickle cell, Fragile X, etc.)
- Complete obstetrical care is available for patients who are specifically seeking a maternal fetal medicine specialist.
Dr. Esters also will accept transfer of care from providers who request this service. |
